This will be the first FIFA tournament involving national teams to use Goal-Line Technology, with GoalControl GmbH the official GLT provider for the tournament.

BRAZIL
Legendary former defender Cafu made a guest appearance at Brazil's official training session at the Estadio Nacional Mane Garrincha ahead of the opening match tomorrow. He saluted each and every member of the squad under a round of applause by all the players. He also had the chance to see the two coaches with whom he won the FIFA World Cup.

"To meet both Parreira and Scolari at once, in such a special occasion, brings back such amazing memories. It couldn't be more special. Now I hope that tomorrow Brazil and Japan play a match as wonderful as the atmosphere has been."

BRAZIL
The latest news coming out of the Brazil camp is that Luiz Felipe Scolari has said that the team which beat France 3-0 on Sunday will probably start against Japan. Scolari also commented that Brazil need to win back the pride and respect of their fans during the tournament.

Fernando Torres 
grabbed the fastest hat-trick in Confeds history in his country's opening game in South Africa. Spain put New Zealand to the sword with a 5-0 victory. Spain kick off their 2013 campaign against Uruguay on Sunday.

AND THE WINNER IS...
Mexico
's Zinha has come out on top in the vote for the best Confeds goal. This magnificent effort back in 2005 beat Kaka and Ronaldinho into second and third place.
