Etisalat and Mubadala Development Company have both announced that they have become official ‘National Supporters' of the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2009 and 2010.

For Mubadala Development Company this sponsorship reflects its commitment to working alongside world-class organisations to create long-term opportunities for Abu Dhabi and the UAE.  Mubadala will work with the Local Organising Committee of the FIFA Club World Cup to undertake a series of community-focused activities, ensuring widespread involvement in the event.

The company's refurbishment of the Zayed Stadium for example, will deliver first-rate facilities for international teams, fans and the media at the FIFA Club World Cup, and provide a lasting legacy for the UAE. 

Etisalat's sponsorship of the tournament supports its objective of bringing world-class, live football action to its millions of customers within the UAE. The agreement further strengthens Etisalat's association with football, after it recently signed a four year international partnership with FC Barcelona. Etisalat has also previously sponsored many football events including the Etisalat Football League, The UAE v Brazil international football match, and other tournaments both locally and internationally.
