Estudiantes de La Plata: Defeated Cruzeiro 2-1 on aggregate over two legs in the 50th Copa Libertadores final, following goals from Gaston Fernandez and striker Mauro Boselli. Estudiantes de La Plata will compete in the FIFA Club World Cup for the first time.

Atlante FC: Secured a place in the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2009, after beating Cruz Azul over two legs to win the inaugural CONCACAF Champions League. Atlante will represent CONCACAF in the FIFA Club World Cup for the first time.
OFC (Oceania Football Confederation)
Auckland City FC: Beat Kolaole FC 9-4 on aggregate in the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Champions League Final to secure a place in the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2009. It is the second time that Auckland City will compete in the FIFA Club World Cup, having reached the quarter-finals in 2006 in Japan.
