“We are delighted with the win. It means an awful lot to us. It’s been a tough season for us and there were times when you could see that. The battle’s taken quite a bit out of us, but we came here well-prepared and we have an excellent side. We’re capable of switching our strategies and game-plans to suit the circumstances. We’ll be coming up against FC Bayern Munchen next, one of the best teams in the world. We’d probably lose 99 out of 100 games against the Germans, though maybe our one and only win will come in the semi-finals here. There’s nothing set in stone in football,” Marcello Lippi, Guangzhou Evergrande FC coach
