Pablo Marini, Club de Futbol Pachuca coach
I feel that we have played well and dominated both of our matches at this competition. The tournament has been a really good experience for us and I want us to use it to improve in the future. Overall, we didn’t achieve what we were looking for, which was to reach the final, but we are pleased with our performance today. I felt we started the match without much enthusiasm in our play, we didn’t have the speed that we expected, but we got better as the game progressed. It took us time, but once we relaxed we started to create a lot of chances and showed a good attitude in keeping going when we were 2-0 down.

Joseph Hickersberger, Al-Wahda Sports Club coach
It was a very entertaining and interesting game. The defining moment was the second yellow card for [Mahmoud] Al Kamali - we couldn’t control Pachuca after that and came under tremendous pressure. It ended up being too much for some of our tired players and obviously we went on to lose on penalties. But I’m pleased with the performance, which was much better than against Seongnam and restored my players’ self-esteem. Despite losing, I think this was a good farewell from Al Wahda at the FIFA Club World Cup.
