The legendary home of AC Milan and Internazionale, the San Siro - or Stadio Giuseppe Meazza - is a cathedral of football which hosted matches at the 1934 FIFA World Cup TM and reinvented itself as a three-tier colossus for Italia 90.

  • The fifth stage of development at the stadium preceded Italia 90, when a third tier was added along with 11 towers to support the roof.
  • A museum at the stadium celebrates the history of both Inter and AC Milan, with waxworks of the two clubs’ greatest heroes on display.
  • It took 120 builders a little over a year to construct the original San Siro, using a million kg of cement and 3,500 cubic metres of sand.
  • Giuseppe Meazza scored 287 goals in 408 games for Inter and played one season for AC Milan . The stadium officially took his name in 1980.
  • The San Siro is also known as the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium. It was named in honour of a player who appeared for both Inter and AC Milan.
