Ronaldo, Marta crowned in 2008
Portugal and Manchester United ace Cristiano Ronaldo picked up his first FIFA World Player of the Year for 2008, while Brazil's Marta made it three for three on the women's side.
The FIFA World Player Trophy was created in 2005 by Pentagram Design Inc. It weights 6.35 kg, is 32.5 cm high and comprised of gold and glass for the winner, silver and glass for the runner-up and bronze and glass for third.
