USA and El Salvador have won through to the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Tahiti 2013 after dramatic semi-final contests at the CONCACAF qualifying tournament on Saturday.

USA ended a six-year absence from the world stage with a stunning 4-3 comeback win against Costa Rica.

The Stars & Stripes overturned a 2-0 deficit in Nassau, Bahamas, and stayed in front with the help of some inspired goalkeeping from Christopher Toth.

The second semi-final was a similarly tight affair with Ravenna 2011 semi-finalists El Salvador edging Mexico on penalties after an unforgettable contest.

Defending champions Mexico twice came from behind, including a late equaliser to force extra time.

Scores remained unchanged at 3-3 with goalkeeper Herbert Ramos saving the decisive spot-kick to be the El Salvadorian hero.
