Alexandre Soares, Brazil coach
"That was a tough game for us, but we grew in stature after a shaky first period and took control of the game, finishing off in fine style. As expected we’ll be up against Russia in the final. It’ll be tough but it could well turn out to be the best final in the history of the competition. Russia are a very strong team and we’ll need to prepare as well as we possibly can. I’m feeling confident, though, because we’ve improved all the way through this tournament, having really struggled in the group phase."

Ze Miguel Mateus, Portugal coach
"It really was a game of two halves. We dominated in the first, when Brazil looked tired, and if we’d taken more of the chances we created, especially in the first period, things would have been very different. Then they got into the game, mentally got tougher and took their chances really well."
