Czech Republic No1 Petr Cech has established himself as one of the most consistent goalkeepers in world football during his eight years at Chelsea, and enjoyed perhaps his finest season at Stamford Bridge in 2011/12. The 30-year-old was instrumental in the London outfit securing a fourth FA Cup in six seasons against Liverpool at Wembley, before playing a crucial role as the Blues lifted the UEFA Champions League. The keeper saved a penalty in extra time in the final against Bayern Munich before ensuring hero status with two stops in the subsequent penalty shoot-out which saw Chelsea claim the trophy. Cech’s consistency was again on display at UEFA EURO 2012 as he played a key role in the Czechs reaching the quarter-finals.
