Scottish singer-songwriter Amy Macdonald is not only a huge star in the music scene worldwide but also a big fan of football. FIFA.com had the chance to talk to her about her love of the sport and appearance at the FIFA FIFA Ballon d’Or Gala 2012 in Zurich.
In her recent album, Life in a Beautiful Light, two of her songs were inspired by football. And it is not a big surprise that the 25-year-old from Bishopbriggs a suburb of Glasgow associates a lot with the Old Firm derby.
"I come from Glasgow and being from Glasgow everyone knows about Celtic and Rangers. It is a big part of most people’s lives. I always got very excited by it. I support Rangers and everytime an Old Firm match comes up people will talk about it and look forward to it. It also does bring people together. That was what I was trying to pack up on in the song The Green and the Blue", Macdonald told FIFA.com.
