Short Description:
EPROCAD began as a project in 1994 with the aim to develop youths through sports. The streetfootballworld network member (since 2005) is utilising football to transform children with low-self esteem and negative self-perception into critical and proactive citizens who are committed to changing their personal lives and collective circumstances. Through the use of the "Fútbol Callejero" (Street Football) method the organisation aims to build confidence and prepares the children for challenges in their lives. "Fútbol Callejero", a concept used by various organisations within the streetfootballworld network, tries to tap the full potential of football by applying special rules and rituals to the game. In addition, the organisation strives to keep youths with criminal records on the right track, helping them realise and optimise their capabilities.

Support in the Framework of the Football for Hope Movement:
Football for Hope is supporting EPROCAD's activities to spread the "Fútbol Callejero" (street football) methodology in order to combat social disparity in Brazil by offering new perspectives to disadvantaged youths and by transmitting fundamental human and social values. Education, culture and sports shall be directly associated, the key issues addressed being vocational training, alphabetisation, health (nutrition, aids prevention, drugs), violence and environmental awareness etc. Circa 5.000 pupils from public schools shall get in contact with the method through the training of 40 professionals from the fields of sports and education. Various events such as meetings, festivals, exchanges of experiences and evaluations will take place throughout the project.
