Short Description:
In a working class neighbourhood of Santa Cruz, Centro Cultural San Isidro (CCSI) has turned the street into its football pitch, bringing together people of all ages. The organisation provides the community with a public forum to realise its goals and supports the people in their commitment to a more just and responsible society. It uses football, and especially the "Fútbol Callejero" (Street Football) method, as a model for life, where different people with different qualities come together to achieve their goals. The method tries to tap the full potential of football by applying special rules and rituals to the game. CCSI, a streetfootballworld network member since 2005, has accomplished a lot as a cultural and sports organisation since its inception, hosting charity races and facilitating talks concerning the environment and local development with like-minded organisations.

Support in the Framework of the Football for Hope Movement:
Centro Cultural San Isidro's goal is to promote and expand the "Fútbol Callejero" (street football) methodology in Bolivia as a means to promote public participation and community development. With the support of Football for Hope, the Centro Cultural San Isidro expects to create a national street football league including 25 organisations functioning in the different regions of Bolivia. This will be accompanied by the organisation of street football championships and community workshops and the identification and training of youth leaders.
