While the Colombian national team is currently enjoying a successful 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ qualifying campaign, life on the streets in the capital Bogota is far from agreeable.

This is especially true in Ciudad Bolivar, one of the most dangerous districts in the metropolis. There, children are growing up in an environment shaped by violence, drugs and gang wars.

That makes the work of Colombianitos all the more important. The organisation aims to help street children and adolescents in Bogota through football, as well as by promoting education and social values.

In this video, FIFA TV and FIFA.com show you how Colombianitos supports youth in Bogota. Football training sessions, help with homework and much more besides form part of the initiative’s daily work.
