Just 24 hours before the kick-off of the FIFA Confederations Cup Brazil 2013, FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter met Brazil's President Dilma Rousseff in Rio de Janeiro. The meeting was also attended by FIFA Secretary General Jérôme Valcke, Brazil's Minister of Sport Aldo Rebelo and the Governor of Rio de Janeiro Sergio Cabral.

"We agreed together that we shall not meet very often, We shall only meet when it is necessary”, said the FIFA President.

Both presidents are looking forward to the first match between Brazil and Japan in Brasilia on Saturday. "When the first match is played, then the football ambience comes, especially in Brazil where football is such a strong expression of the joy and pleasure of the people. This first match is a very important one and I'm sure it will be a great success."
