The defender spent the majority of his career playing for Al-Ittihad and won 142 caps for his country between 1990 and 2001. Al Khlaiwi played in two FIFA World Cups™ (1994, 1998), four FIFA Confederations Cups (1992, 1995, 1997, 1999) and one Olympic Football Tournament (1996).
"I was very sad to hear of the passing of former Saudi Arabia international Mohammed Al Khlaiwi,” said FIFA President Joseph S.
