A few hours before departing Mauritius, where FIFA's 63rd Congress convened on 30 and 31 May, FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter was bestowed with the Honorary Freedom of the City of Port Louis, the capital of the wonderful Indian Ocean island.

The ceremony, which took place at the City Hall, was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Dr the Hon Ahmed Rashid Beebeejaun, Lord Mayor Aslam Adam Hossenally, Deputy Lord Mayor Dorine Chuckowry and Chief Executive Jean Francois Dorestan.

"I'm very moved by today's ceremony, which symbolises the remarkable hospitality of the people of Mauritius. I'd like to thank the City of Port Louis, in particular the Lord Mayor Aslam Adam Hossenally, for giving me the honour of being bestowed with the City's Honorary Freedom."
