Based at FIFA HQ in Zurich, with 47 professionals of 14 different nationalities, FIFA Marketing is a dynamic and diverse team covering a multitude of fields of expertise within the sports business industry.

The FIFA Marketing team can draw experience from involvement in several FIFA World Cup™ competitions, with the longest-serving members on board at Italia '90.

The FIFA Marketing division is split into five main departments - Sales & Licensing, Account Management & Operations, Strategy & Brand Management, Ticketing & Hospitality & FIFA Marketing Brazil.

Sales & Licensing
The Sales & Licensing department is primarily charged with the strategic development of FIFA’s sponsorship assets and is responsible for optimising the contribution of the FIFA sponsorship programme to FIFA’s overall commercial success. This includes establishing and maintaining relationships with potential sponsors and leading the sales negotiations, from first contact up until the deal is signed. Sales & Licensing are also responsible for FIFA’s licensing programme, managing all direct brand and event licensees as well as the FIFA Quality Concept.

Account Management & Operations
Account Management & Operations are responsible for the day-to-day relationship management between FIFA and our Commercial Affiliates, ensuring that all sponsorship rights are delivered, while adding value to the existing relationship. The operations side of the team act as the main contact point in the build-up to an event, and they are on site at the event to ensure that the rights and needs of the Commercial Affiliates are fulfilled.

Ticketing & Hospitality
The Ticketing & Hopsitality team ensure the delivery of all Commercial Affiliates’ contractual ticketing and hospitality rights as well as enabling Commercial Affiliates to operate hospitality programmes for key clients, guests and business partners. The team also support on-site ticket and hospitality rights delivery at all FIFA events while monitoring the implementation of FIFA’s hospitality programmes.

Strategy & Brand Management
Responsible for managing and developing the FIFA and FIFA Events’ brands and marketing assets, Strategy & Brand Management is also tasked with establishing long-term strategic marketing programmes in co-operation with FIFA Partners. Examples of these marketing programmes include the 2010 FIFA World Cup Ticket Fund and the International FIFA Fan Fest. The team manages FIFA’s retail strategy and operations as well as managing and developing FIFA marketing communication and research programmes.

Marketing Brazil
FIFA Marketing Brazil is the team installed to look after the preparations for the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ and the FIFA Confederations Cup 2013. The team’s main responsibility is to forge strong relationships with Brazilian stakeholders, such as the Local Organising Committee and governmental bodies, while providing FIFA Marketing with the ideal ‘on-site’ expertise and support to prepare for the next FIFA World Cup.
