The FIFA Quality Concept for Football Turf is based on the
testing procedure that pitches have to undergo in order to obtain the FIFA RECOMMENDED quality mark. Both the laboratory tests for the football turf product and the field tests on the football turf installation are conducted by independent FIFA-approved test institutes.
The test institutes themselves are also regularly submitted to tests. Every year, round-robin tests are conducted in which they have to demonstrate their know-how in the area of quality control. This allows FIFA to ensure that its quality marks are always of the highest standard.
