The International Football Association Board (IFAB) will convene for its Annual Business Meeting (ABM) at the Celtic Manor Resort in Cardiff on Wednesday 20 October 2010.

The Agenda features a discussion on Goal line technology. A status update will also be presented regarding the optional Additional Assistant Referees experiment in association/confederation competitions approved at the IFAB Special Meeting in July 2010.

In addition, there will be a resumption of the discussion regarding Sending-Off offences and the so-called 'triple punishment' (goal, red card, player suspension), as well as a review of a number of current Laws of the Game, to prepare a clearer definition of text in order to avoid any misinterpretations of the Laws.

Attending the ABM will be the Secretary General of FIFA and the Chief Executives of the four British associations. It is important to note that the ABM is a working meeting during which topics are discussed and can be put forward to the Annual General Meeting. However, amendments to the Laws of the Game can only be made during the Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The 125th AGM is scheduled to be held on 4-6 March 2011 at the Celtic Manor, Newport, in Cardiff.
