The Independent Governance Committee (IGC) led by Professor Mark Pieth and his team of experts in the field of governance and compliance, have delivered a report to the FIFA Executive Committee based on its work started in December 2011. After the Executive Committee meeting, the proposed reforms will be brought to the attention of the FIFA Congress on 24 and 25 May 2012

The goal of the IGC is to oversee the creation and implementation of effective structures and controls so that FIFA and its members act with integrity and confidence is restored amongst all FIFA stakeholders, including fans and the wider public.
