FIFA has launched a new Facebook page dedicated to women’s football and available in six languages, while also activating the official Twitter account for the FIFA Women’s World Cup™ ahead of a busy calendar of events in 2014 and 2015.

With the FIFA Women's World Cup on Facebook and the FIFA Women's World Cup on Twitter, fans will have access to the latest information on the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015™, FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada 2014, FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Costa Rica 2014 and other events, as well as the development of the women’s game both on and off the field.

Coverage will also include FIFA’s work around the globe to promote women’s football, from the Live Your Goals campaign and Girls’ Festivals, to Football for Health and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.

Featuring behind-the-scenes images and videos, one of the key aims is to engage with the community and provide fans with further opportunities to interact with each other, and FIFA, wherever they are in the world.

These platforms supplement the women’s football sections on FIFA.com which include:

Friday's announcement follows on from the launch of a number of Facebook pages this year, including FIFA and the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™.

With the well-established @fifacom account and FIFA on Youtube channel, and the first FIFA app to be launched ahead of the Final Draw for the 2014 World Cup in December, FIFA continues to increase its presence across different social platforms for football fans.
