The University of the West Indies (UWI) started the second FIFA/CIES Programme during an informal ceremony organised at the residence of the Principal in Port of Spain (Trinidad and Tobago) last week.

The new students attended several presentations on the objectives defined by UWI and CIES for the programme: openness to all sports, adaptation to local needs and realities, focus on practical examples, necessity to offer modern working tools to sports managers, and need to give sports entities greater efficiency and credibility with respect to their partners and to public opinion.

During the event, students also took the opportunity to ask various questions on the content of the curriculum, the opportunities offered by the FIFA/CIES Network, and the Prize of the International University Network rewarding the best group.

FIFA and CIES extend a warm welcome to: Miguel, Ariel, Adisa, Charisse, Edmund, Hugh, Jérôme, André, Melissa, Daniel, Vinda, Janelle, Sterling, Shalonna, André and Winston.
