The FMA (FIFA Master Alumni) Association is in its fifth year of existence as an independent association, administered by volunteer alumni. The FMA Association plays a crucial role to connect over 200 FIFA Master Alumni and current students with a lifelong bond to the FIFA Master and the sporting community. Bringing alumni together is at the heart of its mission and identity. The FMA focuses its energy in enhancing members' benefits and in organizing social activities, while representing FMA alumni as a whole to further assist the long-term development of the FIFA Master programme.
Some additional achievements of the FMA include establishing a
self-operating website as the key communication platform for all
alumni, creating the mentorship and career coach programmes to
connect current postgraduates with alumni, developing FMA Regional
Networks enabling alumni to strengthen relationships and to act and
promote the FIFA Master locally.
In 2006, the FMA Association organized the 1st FMA Alumni
World Gathering at the FIFA World Cup in Germany. Travelling from
40 different nations and all six continents, it was a joyous
weekend for over 100 alumni in attendance who were re-uniting and
celebrating with friends while meeting alumni from all of the FIFA
Master generations. The gathering provided the opportunity to
enhance the services the FMA provides to alumni while strengthening
its networking and objectives.
