On Wednesday 5 November 2014, the President and the General Secretary of the Football Federation of Kosovo (FFK), Fadil Vokrri and Eroll Salihu, respectively, and the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports of Kosovo, Memli Krasniqi, made a courtesy visit to see FIFA President Blatter at the Home of FIFA in Zurich. The meeting was also attended by FIFA Secretary General Jérome Valcke.

The development of football in Kosovo following the decision adopted by the FIFA Emergency Committee in January 2014 that confirmed a set of modalities of friendly matches involving clubs and representative teams of Kosovo was on the agenda as the Kosovo delegation reported on the games that have been played so far within the said scope.

Regarding membership matters, the FFK was reminded of the processes referred to in the FIFA statutes and particularly article 10.2 which states that “membership is only permitted if an Association is currently a member of a Confederation” which is not the case of the FFK.
