FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter has written to Barack Obama to offer his “warmest personal regards” as the US President celebrates his 50th birthday.
Obama, who welcomed Blatter to Washington in July 2009, reaches the half-century milestone today, and the FIFA President made a point of sending on his best wishes.
He wrote: “Turning fifty is an occasion to reflect and look forward; allow me to extend to you my best wishes for your continued good health, happiness and success. I do hope that you will find time to celebrate your birthday with your family and friends.
The FIFA President added: “I wish you strength in these difficult times and I am convinced that you – in your capacity as visionary leader and unifier – will succeed in overcoming these challenges.”
