Accompanied by AFC President Mohamed Bin Hammam and FIFA Executive Committee member and President of the Jordan Football Association (JFA), H.R.H. Prince Ali Bin Al-Hussein and Atef Edailbat, Minister of Sports, FIFA President, Joseph S. Blatter helped break ground on the third FIFA Goal project in Jordan - a state-of-the art artificial turf pitch - on Saturday 25 October, in Amman, Jordan.

President Blatter also visited the JFA headquarters - the first Goal project for Jordan, inaugurated in 2001 - and met with the Board of the JFA. In addition, the FIFA President attended a training session organised at the Al Hussein stadium, where nearly two hundred boys and girls participated and greeted him on the pitch.

"I was so moved by what I saw here. Boys, but also girls, were playing and it was a wonderful thing to see. I watched their skills and I was very impressed. I want to commend the JFA for the great job which they are doing", commented an enthusiastic FIFA President. "This is the right way to bring young people to be better human beings".

During his stay in Amman, Joseph S. Blatter had personal audiences with Nader Al-Dahabi, Prime Minister and H.R.H. Prince Faisal Bin Al-Hussein, President of the Jordanian Olympic Committee.
